The challenging stages of revision rhinoplasty were addressed through a live surgery performed by Dr. Tural Fatullayev at a scientific meeting held in Ankara on 14 March 2026. The operation was performed at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine İbni Sina Hospital, and its images were transmitted to the Hasan Ali Yücel Conference Hall for participating physicians to follow.
In patients who have had previous nasal surgery, changed tissue structure, reduced cartilage support and impaired anatomical integrity can make revision rhinoplasty more complex than primary rhinoplasty. For this reason, careful assessment of every case, preservation of existing structures and personalised surgical planning are of great importance.
During the live surgery, the reassessment of the nasal structure, structural repair approaches and surgical decision-making processes were shared. Thanks to advanced image transmission, the stages of the operation could be followed clearly by the physicians in the hall. Participants had the opportunity to put their questions directly about the difficulties encountered in revision rhinoplasty and the techniques applied, and to assess the answers on the live operation.
The event, attended by physicians from different countries, brought together the particular difficulties of revision rhinoplasty with scientific discussion and hands-on experience. Dr. Tural Fatullayev’s presentation of his surgical approach through a live operation contributed to the sharing of advanced techniques and the exchange of knowledge among colleagues.
